We have all seen the awful pictures of the flooding in Cumbria, which bring back worrying memories to those of us who live near the Thames.

Recently the government came up with £1m of emergency funding for all those affected by the flooding in Cumbria - after the FSB announced a £0.5m emergency loan fund for any members in the area whose business was affected.

A colleague of mine who recruits in the area wrote about his experiences:

Unfortunately for both November and December we have been obliged to change from our regular third Thursday in the month, due to prior bookings at High Wycombe Cricket Club.  Faced with the need to change either the date or the location, we opted to stick with the location; a reflection of the success and support (from you and the staff at HWCC) that we have enjoyed there.  Apologies if you find this inconvenient, but circumstances left us with a difficult choice.  Also please note that December will have a suitably festive flavour!
